DESCRIPTION: "The Netherlands Graduate School of Science, Technology and Modern Culture (WTMC) is a formal collaboration of Dutch researchers studying the development of science, technology and modern culture. The Graduate School provides advanced training for Ph.D. candidates enrolled at affiliated universities whose research concerns: (1) the manner in which the design and organisation of science and technology are interwoven in the development of modern, 'rationalized' societies and cultures, and the problems this interpenetration imply for the development and shaping of science and technology as well as culture and society." The affiliated universities are University of Amsterdam, University of Maastricht, University of Groningen, University of Twente, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam; Wageningen University and Research Centre; University of Leiden; Technical University of Delft; and Utrecht University.
